With the progression of technology social media has become a vital part in our culture. However, with this increase in online presence so has our exposure to inspiring or harmful media. Fake news has taken over social media today, and this takeover has progressively and negatively trickled into our relationships with our family, friends, co-workers, or more. How has spreading “awareness” through threads affect how we view the world? You’ve heard of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and you’ve heard of the devious licks challenge. It’s safe to say that some trends spread awareness for good while some spread it to inspire wrongdoing.
