The time of day plays an essential role in setting the mood of a scene. It has the power to transform a bustling city street in the day into an alley of crime at night. And it can take a peaceful church in the morning and make it the site of ghostly haunts past midnight.

Aiming to explore this dynamic, our team challenged authors to develop stories limited to a single timeframe— Night or day. the Resulting collection of short stories and poems showcases the role time plays in creating mood and coloring emotion in storytelling.
