I consider myself to be rather open minded spiritually and I am open to the idea of Horoscopes. As an August-born Leo, I find my personality and interests to be intact with what is generally known about Leos; We are drawn to the arts/ entertainment, we are a fire sign with a passion for loving intensely, we do care about our appearance, and we are a fixed sign generally interested in serious, long term commitments and relationships.
Much of what is written about the Zodiac also seems true for my family. My father, my brother, and my sister are all Tauruses (yes, those are a lot of bulls to deal with). Although Tauruses are generally enemies with Leos, I am thankful that they are in my life because I have learned so much from being in a family of Tauruses. Tauruses are known to have very good money management skills (Eg. My brother is an accountant and the other two are nurses), they are very family oriented and reserved, they are consistent and somewhat predictable, they love their sleep (My sister’s favorite princess growing up was Sleeping Beauty and that’s how she is when she shacks up in my room), and they are incredibly stubborn. I see a lot of other Leos (especially July-born Leos) become very self-absorbed and I think being from a family of practical Tauruses has really kept me grounded in my nature and priorities.
On the other hand, my mother and my grandmother are both Aquariuses. As much as I admire my mother, we do not get a long. She can become very cold, demanding, and quite unpredictable in her mood swings since Aquarius is an air sign. However, I do admire the Aquarian knack for intelligence, work ethic, generosity, and their general commitment in marriage (My grandmother has been married for 55 years and my mother has been married for 32 years).
I subscribe to a couple of Horoscope channels on Youtube like Baba Jolie, Sunshine Tarot, Mystic Goddess, and Ali’s Tarot. Some of their predictions and readings have really resonated with my life. Their readings have helped me with my two romantic relationships so far. I dated a September-born Virgo (now my ex) for a year and a half. Before we dated, we were good friends in middle school until early college. He was very sweet, kind, romantic, calm, and predictable; It was almost like dating a Taurus since Virgo is another Earth sign. He was quite traditional and I met so many members of his family while we dated. The thing that wounded our relationship was the lack of verbal communication/initiation, how critical he was, and sexual incompatibility (he was always so cautious and always like to put me in charge). I have no hard feelings towards him and I wish him the best.
I am currently dating a September-born Libra. We have been dating for barely two months and this relationship feels extremely accelerated. Just imagine you’re on a driving course and your car hits every orange cone on the road…and you’re just thankful to be alive. That’s exactly how this relationship feels like. And damn, do they know how to make a first impression! When I saw him for the first time at the movie theatre and we locked eyes, the first thought in my head was, “If I end up having kids with this guy, we’re gonna have some good looking kids.”
Libra men are devilishly charming, handsome, flirtatious, impulsive, humorous, indecisive, somewhat childish, and appearance conscious. They avoid conflict like it is the plague; My boyfriend likes to use kissing as a “pacifier” to shut me up whenever I bring up a critical issue in our relationship. It’s either kissing, a nice romp in the sack, a sob story, or another distraction. Libra men tend to have interesting dating histories before meeting the woman who can call out their bs and still commit to him. I do love my boyfriend but I constantly worry for him due to his impulsive nature. And is it just me or are Libra men obsessed with hats? My boyfriend doesn’t seem to have enough of them.
